India Wakes is an important book written by two highly esteemed and accomplished authors. The book is an in depth account of the past, present and possible future of India- China-USA interrelationship. It also contextualizes the next politico-economic shift that the Coronavirus pandemic is bringing to the world.

The jacket design illustrates the theme of the book, the deep red sky depicts the intense and unusual times of the covid-19 pandemic pandemic, the widespread disease and sickness. The intense red was chosen as the main color to draw attention to the importance of this book.  The black mountains depict the grave challenges and hardships of the past, present and future (time). But the rising sun is the ray of hope, the new morning after the end of pandemic, as the light starts to take over the darkness.
